Deleting Resources

Some of the reasons for wanting to delete a resource include:

  • removing a duplicate

  • Someone no longer works at the company

  • Remove suppliers that you no longer work with

Will deleting someone's account cancel their subscription fee?

  • We only charge for users who log in to the system. So, if this person doesn’t log in, their subscription fee will not be applied whether they have access to UniPhi or not.

  • However, it is still recommended to remove their access from your system for security reasons (either by changing their licence to "none" or deleting their profile).

Will deleting a person's profile affect the projects they are on?

  • Deleting a resource will have no affect on any data that they have entered. It just means that they will no longer be shown in your resource list and cannot be allocated to projects.

  • You should remove the resource from any projects that they are still allocated to before deleting.

To do this, go to the Resources module, search for their name and click on it.

Then go to the Projects sub nav and check the box at the top of the column.

Press Remove and select all the roles from the list. Click away and press the green save button.

You will know that they are removed from all their projects when no projects display on the list.

Now you can go back to the resource list and delete their account by pressing the bin icon on the right hand side of the screen.

Deleted profiles can always be recovered by filtering for deleted resources and pressing the clock icon:
