Introduction
Our powerful document management system centralises the sharing, feedback, and collaboration on design and specification documents. This guide
outlines the recommended UniPhi workflow, providing step-by-step instructions to streamline document management across projects and portfolios efficiently.
UniPhi’s document collaboration functionality is purpose-built to address the fragmentation often seen in construction and infrastructure project workflows. It was developed in response to user feedback highlighting the reliance on multiple applications and manual processes - such as downloading files to
personal systems like Dropbox or SharePoint, and compiling feedback in spreadsheets.
This feature bridges the gap for design teams and other key stakeholders -including Project Managers, Consultants, and Clients—who often face challenges accessing and collaborating through traditional BIM systems. UniPhi aims to streamline communication and coordination by supporting the "missing pieces"
that fall outside standard design and document control workflows.
Navigation
The Documents Module contains three tabs: Documents, Files and Annotations. Use the Project/Activities selector to view documents for a specific project or across all projects.
To view across all projects, select All Project/All Activities.

Documents: Access UniPhi-generated documents.
Files: Store and manage project files. By default, the latest version/revision of the file is displayed.
Annotations: View and manage comments/annotations within files. Relevant comments can be stripped and stored for escalation into issues for resolution (work flowed actions).
Register: Central log of document transmission activity.
