Setting Up the Finance Project and Programme Contract

In the Project-Based approach, you do not manage the contract on the individual activity projects. Instead, you create a central "container" project often called a "Finance Project" or "JV Management Project" .


Step 1: Create the Finance Project


  1. Navigate to the Portfolio/Summary module.

  2. Create a new project.

  3. Name it appropriately (e.g., "Project Name - Finance" or "JV Management"). This project will act as the central hub for your commercial reporting and claim documents.


Step 2: Create the Program Contract


  1. Navigate to the Contracts module and select your new Finance Project.

  2. Create a new contract.

  3. Crucial Step: Select the Contract Type as Programme Revenue.

    • Note: Standard contract types cannot aggregate data from other projects. Only "Program" contract types have this capability.

  4. Enter the contract details (Client, Start Date, etc.) and save.
