UniPhi for Outlook Error

This article is to troubleshoot the error message:

"We could not sign you in to Outlook, please see the error: {"name":"API Not Supported","message":"The identity API is not supported for this add-in.""


The error occurs because Outlook sometimes does not correctly install and synchronise the application with the App Store.


Our suggested resolution to this problem is:

  1. Remove the application

    1. Go to File -> Manage Add Ins

    2. My Add-ins

    3. Find UniPhi for Outlook, click the 3 dots and remove.

  2. Wait at least a 24-hour period

  3. Re-install UniPhi for Outlook


If you cannot remove the application, with a message saying it is admin-managed, the Microsoft 365 Admin for your organisation will need to accept the updates to support Single Sign on (SSO). Please forward them the following instructions and attached images:


Admin Steps:

  1. Go to https://admin.microsoft.com/adminportal/home#/Settings/IntegratedApps

  2. Click on UniPhi for Outlook

  3. Click on "Know more and Update" and accept the newly requested permissions and updates.

  4. After accepting changes, managed users will need to wait at least 24 hours or more for the changes to take effect.
